Drive technical standards and asset optimization in a leadership role at Hydro Ottawa. This hybrid mode position focuses on ensuring compliance while enhancing distribution reliability and performance.
As the Manager of Asset Management & Technical Standards, you'll lead strategic initiatives to meet escalating customer expectations. Your responsibilities will include mentoring engineering teams, managing complex regulatory frameworks, and defending Asset Management Plans aligned with ISO 55000. This role is pivotal in championing the department’s engineering development and fostering a robust asset health management strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and mentor engineering teams for safety and performance
• Align technical standards with proactive maintenance strategies
• Advocate for ISO 55000 compliance in asset management practices
• Develop and oversee operational budgets and capital projects
• Participate in regulatory consultations and strategic presentations
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university
• Active Professional Engineer license in Ontario
• At least five (5) years of leadership experience
• Experience in electric utility engineering is an asset
• Strong computer skills, particularly in collaboration tools
