Join DIVERSEcity as a part-time Clinical Counsellor focusing on mental health care for diverse cultural communities. This flexible role offers opportunities to support clients experiencing various challenges.
In this role within the Community Action Initiative, you will provide qualified counselling services to clients from diverse backgrounds. You'll address mental health crises, develop safety plans, and work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including the Ministry of Children and Family Development. Your experience in clinical settings and commitment to cultural sensitivity will be vital in helping clients navigate life's challenges effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver clinical services via assessments and ongoing therapeutic care
• Collaborate with community partners for comprehensive support
• Facilitate psycho-educational group sessions as needed
• Document client interactions and maintain accurate records
• Engage in inter-disciplinary case meetings to share insights
Requirements:
• Master’s level degree in counselling or psychology
• Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) certification
• Two years of clinical experience, especially with children and families
• Strong communication skills in Dari or Farsi
• Possess a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
