The Canadian Public Accountability Board is expanding its Inspections team, with director-level openings in Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver. Candidates are expected to have at least ten years in public accounting with a CPA designation. In-depth knowledge of IFRS, Canadian Auditing Standards, and the ability to travel for inspections are crucial for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee inspections of audit firms’ systems and practices
• Manage high-profile inspection work efficiently
• Build valuable relationships with auditors and stakeholders
• Create impactful and clear inspection reports
• Engage in initiatives to enhance CPAB’s inspection processes
Requirements:
• At least 10 years of audit experience
• Required CPA certification
• Robust technical knowledge of IFRS and Canadian Auditing Standards
• Proficiency in French for Montreal roles
• Travel availability of up to 6 weeks annually
