Become the Youth Justice Mental Health Access Coordinator with CTYS, focusing on outreach and mental health support for marginalized youth. This role offers a unique chance to work flexibly across the Greater Toronto Area.
In this full time position, you will support youth from Open Detention and Custody through brief mental health assessments and interventions. Partnering with detention staff and families, your role involves crafting tailored treatment plans focused on strengths and trauma recovery. You will also conduct workshops and provide vital psychoeducation for youth and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver mental health assessments at custody facilities
• Collaborate on individualized service plans with families
• Develop and facilitate psycho-educational workshops
• Follow up on assessment recommendations for youth
• Consult with staff on mental health issues
Requirements:
• Graduate degree in Social Work or comparable field
• At least three years in children’s mental health care
• Knowledge of the Youth Justice system
• Skills in trauma-informed brief interventions
• Proficient use of computer technology
