Daybreak Housing is seeking a Finance Professional in Ottawa dedicated to meaningful work. This role merges bookkeeping with operations supporting vulnerable communities through housing.

As part of the team, you'll report to the Executive Director and closely collaborate with the Virtual Controller. Your contributions will ensure accurate financial reporting while adhering to non-profit accounting standards. Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively are essential in this vital role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain financial records consistent with standards
• Perform accounts payable, receivable, and payroll processing
• Compile monthly financial statements and income reports




• Ensure compliance with audit requirements and documentation
• Provide operational support for organizational agreements and renewals

Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance
• 2-5 years of bookkeeping experience preferable in non-profits
• Strong command of QuickBooks and MS Excel
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proven ability to manage deadlines and priorities
