Make a difference as a Casual Residential Care Worker with the Developmental Disabilities Association in Vancouver/Richmond. Engage with residents to support their emotional and social needs.
DDA has been at the forefront of inclusive advocacy for families since 1952. We advocate for residents with developmental disabilities, ensuring they lead fulfilling lives. Both fresh graduates and experienced support workers are welcome to apply for this impactful role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with daily recreational and physical activities
• Promote residents’ rights and self-determination
• Provide guidance in positive behavior support
• Document care plans and progress
• Conduct training and community outreach when necessary
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in relevant field
• 1-2 years’ experience in care or related areas
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License and clean record
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Required certifications in First Aid/CPR
