In this key role, you will lead platform engineers and shape the ML infrastructure roadmap to meet Affirm’s evolving needs. Collaborating with senior engineers, your focus will be on driving effective model deployment workflows and ensuring the reliability of ML services that prioritize customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with engineering leadership on ML roadmap execution
• Coach and develop a high-performing team of engineers
• Maintain the operational health of ML infrastructure
• Introduce modern capabilities for evolving ML demands
• Work closely with product and infrastructure teams
Requirements:
• 7+ years in software/machine learning engineering
• 2+ years managing teams, with software engineering background
• Solid knowledge of ML infrastructure best practices
• Understanding of transformer architectures and large-scale training
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
