In this role, you will work in the Acute Inpatient Medicine Unit, 14 East, at a pioneering digital hospital. Engage in direct patient care, effective care planning, and proactive mentorship of new staff. Your strong assessment and problem-solving skills will enable you to provide high-quality healthcare to a diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive care in general, geriatric, and stroke medicine
• Develop and implement effective care plans collaboratively
• Utilize computerized systems for accurate patient documentation
• Engage in hospital committees and cooperative projects
• Guide new nursing staff and pre-grads through mentorship
Requirements:
• Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Preferred 2 years acute medical/surgical inpatient experience
• Must obtain BCLS certification within 3 months
• Excellent organizational and decision-making skills
• Promote family-centered care through teaching and engagement
