Enhance your nursing career with Island Health as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse in a long-term care setting. This role is a part time position operating from 3 PM to 11 PM with rotating days off.
As a key member of the care team, you will be responsible for coordinating nursing services to a group of residents, while also mentoring caregivers on best practices in care. Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives is mandatory, along with relevant experience to ensure effective patient care in a multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care coordination for residents/clients
• Offer guidance to caregivers regarding care standards
• Communicate clearly with staff and residents
• Prioritize and organize nursing duties effectively
• Utilize medical equipment and technological tools properly
Requirements:
• Must be registered with BC College of Nurses
• Recent nursing experience of at least one year
• Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and manage time well
• Physical capability to perform nursing tasks
