Support vital community health efforts as a Parent Support Worker with Lac La Ronge Indian Band in Sucker River. This full time role centers on improving health outcomes for families with infants.

The Parent Support Worker assists the Maternal Child Health Program through in-home support focused on infant care and healthy parenting practices. This role requires a patient individual who excels in communication and is organized to effectively promote child development. Flexibility and adaptability are crucial in addressing diverse family needs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Leverage a strength-based model for family support
• Teach health promotion topics to individuals/groups
• Assist in delivering health programs with Community Health Nurse




• Provide advocacy and referrals for families
• Plan and deliver community education workshops

Requirements:
• Early Childhood Education Certificate or related experience
• Willingness to obtain Growing Great Kids curriculum training
• Required certification in First Aid & CPR
• Experience as a caregiver for infants/young children is advantageous
• Must have valid Class 5 Driver's License
