Embark on a fulfilling journey with Williams Lake First Nation as an Early Childhood Education Assistant. This role blends educational support with essential administrative tasks at Little Chiefs Daycare.
In this full time position, you will facilitate a safe, organized environment for children while ensuring adherence to all licensing regulations. You will provide educational programming tailored to children’s developmental needs while supporting administrative functions including record maintenance and parent communication. The role requires a collaborative spirit to engage with families and staff effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement educational activities based on cultural curriculum
• Maintain compliance with daycare policies
• Provide general administrative support and record keeping
• Schedule staff meetings and manage attendance tracking
• Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children
Requirements:
• ECEA Certificate and Food Safe Certification are essential
• Six months to one year of relevant experience required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software
• Solid initiative and problem-solving abilities
• Understanding of Indigenous culture
