CanOps is hiring four 911/Fire Call Takers for its recent Provincial Emergency Communication Centre in Regina. In this key role, you will manage emergency calls and ensure appropriate responses through effective communication. Key Responsibilities:
• Handle incoming 9-1-1 emergency calls
• Analyze situations and gather necessary information
• Offer verbal reassurance to distressed callers
• Facilitate dispatch for multiple fire departments
• Help shape future emergency communication practices
Requirements:
• Must have a Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum typing speed of 35 WPM mandatory
• Must pass a Clear Criminal Record Check
• Complete required training successfully
• Capacity to work shifts including nights/weekends
