This permanent role involves assisting supervising physiotherapists with treatment components for individuals in residential care. You will conduct gait training, balancing exercises, strengthening, and various modalities. Engage residents through safe, therapeutic exercise classes while ensuring a tidy and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist physiotherapist with treatment plans for residents
• Perform prescribed exercises and modalities as directed
• Deliver protected exercise classes to groups of residents
• Set up and clean equipment after treatments
• Maintain communication with physiotherapist on resident status
Requirements:
• PTA/OTA diploma or Kinesiology degree
• Experience in long-term care preferred
• Valid Vulnerable Sector screening
• Tuberculin Test clearance
• Solid cooperative skills for resident care
