In this position, you will collaborate closely with a team of educators to create enriching nature-based experiences aligned with Indigenous principles. As a Forest School Practitioner, you'll combine safety assessment and a playful curriculum to lead activities that promote exploration and emotional expression.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure adherence to safety assessments and protocols
• Co-plan programs and suggest cutting-edge ideas
• Support volunteers with training and resources
• Create engaging,
child-led learning opportunities
• Participate in post-program discussions for continuous improvement
Requirements:
• Required Forest School Practitioner Certificate
• At least 1 year working outdoors with children
• Background checks for vulnerability and child protection
• Physically fit to navigate diverse terrains
• Understanding of outdoor education and play philosophies
