Adecco is currently hiring a full time IT Project Manager for our client in Ottawa, ON. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced project management professional with a strong background in Agile delivery, digital transformation, and enterprise technology initiatives.
You will lead complex IT and business transformation projects from initiation through implementation, collaborating with internal stakeholders, product owners, vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions that drive business value.
Pay Rate: $80.00 - $118.00/hour | Based on the contract type

Location: Ottawa, ON

Shift: Monday to Friday | Hybrid

Job type: Temporary or Contract | 10 months with possibility of extension | Full-time

Responsibilities:
Project Management & Delivery
Lead highly complex technology and business transformation projects from discovery through implementation and stabilization

Develop and manage project charters, schedules, budgets, resource plans, communication plans, and risk management strategies

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and quality expectations

Monitor project performance and provide regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership

Manage project scope, issues, risks, dependencies, and change requests

Stakeholder & Vendor Management
Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners





Collaborate with Product Owners to prioritize initiatives and align project outcomes with business needs

Facilitate stakeholder engagement and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle

Act as a liaison between business teams and third-party vendors, ensuring successful project delivery

Procurement & Contract Support
Lead or support RFS/RFP processes in partnership with Procurement teams

Develop requirements, evaluation criteria, project timelines, and vendor selection recommendations

Support contract negotiations and vendor engagement activities

Agile & Digital Transformation
Lead project delivery within Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or hybrid project environments

Promote innovation, continuous improvement, and digital transformation initiatives

Support the adoption of new technologies, processes, and ways of working

Collaborate with Change Management teams to drive successful business adoption

Governance & Continuous Improvement
Ensure compliance with project governance frameworks, PMO standards, and best practices

Review business cases and monitor project benefits realization

Support project approvals, board submissions, and funding requests

Contribute to the enhancement of project management tools, templates, and methodologies

Qualifications and Skills:
PMP Certification

Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience





Minimum 5 years of experience leading customer-focused IT initiatives from concept through implementation

Minimum 3 years of experience managing complex technology projects

Minimum 3 years of hands-on Agile project management experience

Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies

Experience managing RFS/RFP initiatives and vendor engagements

Experience with budgeting, resource planning, risk management, and project governance

Strong understanding of SDLC and Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC)

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills

Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field

Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered

Bilingualism (English/French) will be considered an asset

Experience working in unionized environments will be considered an asset

Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
