What You’ll Be Doing
DutiesandResponsibilities:
Inspect, service, maintainandrepair dieselpowered generatorsanddieselpumps, as well as electric submersiblepumps of various voltages.
Diagnose equipment malfunctions and make required repairs, testing repaired equipment for proper performance.
Support with equipment service and repairs on customer jobsites as needed (provide support over the phone and occasionally physically go to jobsites for field service calls. This will be a primarily in-shop role).
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of inspections, maintenance and work orders.
Adhere to all company Health and Safety Policies.
Contribute to a professional and safe work environment by keeping the shop and yard clean, and following all company policies and procedures, and safety requirements.
Provide a high standard of customer service in all interactions with customers.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
QualificationsandRequirements:
Minimum 3 years of relatedmechanical experience. Prior experience working on pumps and/or generators is a definite asset.
Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician License (421A or 310T or other relevant trade certificate)
or equivalent work experience.
Valid Class G/5 driver’s license required, with a clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than 3 demerit points). You’ll be required to provide a copy of your updated driver’s abstract upon request.
Strong electrical knowledge in 12volt dcandacpowersystems and components, and thorough knowledge of diesel engines is required.
Understanding of Tier 4 emissionsanddieselpumps is an asset.
Must have a complete set of tools.
Available and willing to work over-time as required.
Strong understanding of computer applications and diagnostic tools.
Highly adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
Demonstrated commitment to safety, with a strong focus on following procedures and promoting a safe work setting.
Eagerness to continuously learn and stay up to date with emerging technology
Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods.Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs.
