ATS Traffic seeks a dedicated Traffic Control Technician in Ottawa, responsible for creating safe traffic environments. Perform outdoor traffic control duties, equipment setup, and roadside installations.

In this full-time, union position, you will report to the Traffic Control Supervisor while ensuring safety across various events like music festivals and construction zones. Candidates should be willing to work in all weather conditions with a valid Class G Driver’s License. A year of traffic industry experience and familiarity with vehicle operation are beneficial for success in this supportive, family-oriented company.

Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and dismantle traffic safety devices onsite
• Coordinate work zone layout per project specifications




• Manage equipment documentation and maintenance
• Assist with in office installations including signage
• Perform flagging duties as required

Requirements:
• Valid Class G Driver’s License and clean abstract
• Minimum 1 year traffic control experience preferred
• Prior experience with one-ton trucks is helpful
• Own vehicle necessary for commuting
• Traffic Control Person certification is a plus
