Lead the way as a Term Instructor in Indigenous Human Services starting September 2026 at NVIT. Engage with students in a hybrid classroom setting and inspire meaningful change.
NVIT invites applications for Term Instructors to teach its Indigenous Human Services courses. Candidates with a Master of Social Work Degree and post-secondary teaching experience, especially with Aboriginal adult learners, are encouraged to apply. This role will prepare learners to address challenges in various Indigenous communities and promote social well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate IHMS 110, IHMS 120, and IHMS 130 classes
• Conduct lessons both in-person and online for versatile learning
• Develop engaging course materials for diverse learners
• Ensure a supportive and positive classroom atmosphere
• Participate in school and community events
Requirements:
• MSW (Master of Social Work) degree required
• Post-secondary teaching experience preferred
• Familiarity with educational platforms like Moodle
• Excellent communication and teaching abilities
• Insight into Indigenous perspectives and practices
