Join Abbotsford School District as a Casual Youth Support Worker, focusing on the behavioral and emotional development of students. This role entails individual support and effective crisis management strategies.

As a Casual Youth Support Worker, you will assist in creating supportive environments for at-risk students alongside counselors. You will engage in assessments, planning, and delivering individualized interventions that aid personal growth and conflict resolution. Collaboration with school staff and external agencies is essential for achieving optimal outcomes for students.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Intervene in emergencies to ensure student safety




• Consult with educational team members for effective strategies
• Teach self-regulation and social skills to students
• Document progress and effectiveness of interventions

Requirements:
• Grade 12 diploma and relevant 2-year post-secondary education
• At least 2 years of experience in youth support
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License and current CPI certification
• Demonstrable multitasking and communication skills
• Knowledge of community support agencies
