PERSONAL SUPPORT WORKER WE''RE HIRING CASUAL(no set permanent work schedule) PSWs for our COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM (F003v2) Vacancy Status: This position is for an existing vacant role within the organization. LOCATION: TORONTO WEST & TORONTO CENTRAL Toronto West boundaries: West - Highway 27 North - Steeles Avenue East - Keele Street South - Lakeshore Blvd Toronto Central boundaries: West - Keele Street North - Steeles Avenue East - Victoria Park South - Lakeshore Blvd WHAT HOURS YOULL WORK: This opportunity has no set permanent work schedule. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO WORK THE FOLLOWING: Work in both Toronto Central and Toronto West Minimum of 4 days a week between Monday to Sunday Of the 4 days, 1 must be a weekend either Saturday or Sunday & must be able to work at least 6 hours between 7am 5pm Example shifts include: 7:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m. 8:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m. 9:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m. WHAT WE OFFER: $21.356 - $23.736 per hourplus $3/hr wage premium for eligible hours worked| Paid 30 minutes travel allowance | $0.40/hour in lieu of benefits (Group Benefits if full-time) Opportunity to pick up additional hours in a supportive, inclusive & respectful setting Employee Assistance Program (EAP) & Pension Plan FREE PPE to keep you safe FREE Professional Development & Training to grow your skills Employee Recognition Employee Service Recognition Program and more! WHAT YOULL DO: You will be part of a team that will be provide supports to a specific group of clients.

When out in the community you will work independently in clients homes.

You will establish and maintain your relationships with clients.

You will provide personal support services for clients in their homes to assist with activities of daily living. ( Including: lifts/transfers, bowel/bladder routines, dressing/undressing, skin care, respiration, meals/drinks, general hygiene).

A passion for providing exceptional personal support services to male/female clients Ability to lift and transfer clients Manages time in co-operation with clients to complete tasks Ability to accept direction from client''s regarding services Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution and judgment skills Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively with others Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 computer skills (Outlook, Word) HOW TO QUALIFY: Completed a PSW Program that meets the appropriate standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, the National Association of Career Colleges, or the Ontario Community Support Association and must be 600 hours in duration (including class time and practical experience time).

This also includes a PSW Program from an Adult and Continuing Education School Board. 1-year PSW experience gained in the physical disabilities sector Ontario Personal Support Worker Association (OPSWA) membership would be considered an asset Proof of First Aid and CPR certificate Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Person) Ability to travel between client appointments and willingness to work in the community If you thrive in an independent work environment and are interested in '' Making a Difference'' in our client''s lives - then this role is for you!
