Support the dining experience at Extendicare as a part time Dietary Aide. You will help with meal preparation, service, and maintain a clean dining environment for residents.
This role reports to the Dietary Manager and involves serving meals with respect and dignity. Responsibilities include assisting in preparing various meal components, cleaning dishware, and contributing to resident celebrations. Your efforts will enhance the quality of life for seniors and ensure a supportive atmosphere in the home.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide courteous meal service to residents and visitors
• Assist with food preparation and beverage service
• Set dining tables and deliver meals effectively
• Keep kitchen and dining areas tidy
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
Requirements:
• Must possess a Food Handler's Certificate
• Experience working with seniors preferred
• Enrollment or completion of a Food Service Worker Training Program
• Excellent customer service abilities
• Physical capability to lift and stay active during shifts
