Actua is on the lookout for an Instructional Design Specialist to enrich STEM education experiences in Ottawa, Ontario. This role specifically aims to develop and deliver creative programming for youth in various contexts.
Joining Actua's Outreach Team, you will design and implement culturally appropriate STEM initiatives that cater to underrepresented audiences, including those in remote and Indigenous communities. Your role will include rigorous content testing, prototyping for clarity and safety, and adapting materials for different delivery environments. Working closely with community stakeholders, you will help ensure that programming is locally relevant and impactful.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop STEM learning experiences for youth audiences
• Test and refine instructional activities for delivery
• Facilitate training for seasonal instructors and educators
• Support partnerships with community organizations
• Maintain accurate documentation and inventory of materials
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in education, STEM, or Indigenous studies
• 1-2 years of content development experience
• Clean driving record for travel duties
• Knowledge of logistical challenges in rural areas
• Strong organizational and communication skills
