As a key member of the finance team, the Accounting Associate will work under the Comptroller, contributing to tasks such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger management. Ideal candidates should possess robust organizational skills and the ability to learn multiple processes quickly to maintain high standards of financial reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute reconciliations for accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare monthly vendor reconciliation reports
• Validate and file invoices in the accounting system
• Assist with GST reconciliations and tax submissions
• Support in reconciling monthly financial reports
Requirements:
• At least 2 years experience in accounting or finance
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data management
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities
• Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards
• Completion or enrollment in a postsecondary accounting program
