As a Host/Hostess under the guidance of the Front of House Shift Supervisor, you will greet and seat guests efficiently. This position requires a commitment to understanding menu items, handling seating assignments fairly, and adhering to health and safety regulations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential in maintaining a positive atmosphere for guests and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet and seat guests promptly and courteously
• Monitor and assign seating consistently and fairly
• Provide information on menu items and specials
• Maintain cleanliness of the hostess station at all times
• Assist other staff members as needed in service areas
Requirements:
• 1-2 years’ experience in high-volume foodservice roles
• Valid Alberta Pro Serve Certification
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
• Must be available for shift work, standing for long periods
