Join Lookout Housing and Health Society as a Community Outreach Worker providing vital support to adults in need. This casual role includes flexible shifts and direct client advocacy.
In this Outreach Worker position, you will report to a Designated Manager, working to empower clients facing housing instability and varying needs. The ideal candidate will have a background in case management and familiarity with community resources, making a meaningful difference by crafting supportive action plans and ensuring access to necessary services. Flexible schedules allow for work across days, evenings, and weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist clients in establishing stable living situations
• Develop plans for problem resolution and service access
• Provide crisis intervention when required
• Complete documentation and maintain vital records
• Drive company vehicle when needed
Requirements:
• Related Diploma or minimum Grade 12 and two years experience
• Current Occupational First Aid Level 1
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and abstract
• Experience with crisis intervention preferred
• Ability to work independently and in a team workplace
