Accounting & Payroll Clerk

Required Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience in an accounting and payroll role, preferably in a medium-sized organization Experience processing payroll and understanding payroll legislation and compliance Proficiency with accounting and payroll software (e.g., QuickBooks, Pivot, or similar ERP systems) Experience processing US payroll, including multi-state payroll and compliance, considered a strong asset. Solid attention to detail and high level of accuracy Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Job Duties Process bi-weekly/weekly payroll,



ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable legislation Maintain employee payroll records, deductions, benefits, and remittances Prepare and submit payroll-related reports, including ROEs, T4s, and union remittances Enter and reconcile accounting data including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes Reconcile bank and credit card statements Maintain accurate financial and employee records Respond to payroll and accounting inquiries from employees and management Support other administrative and accounting duties as required Anmar is an equal opportunity employer.
