We are currently looking for a Full-Time Room Attendant to join our Housekeeping team at Chateau Nova Yellowhead in Edmonton .
This position requires open availability for all shifts, including weekdays, weekends and holidays .

The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning, maintaining and preparing guest rooms and assigned areas in accordance with Nova Hotels'' cleanliness and service standards.
This role plays an important part in ensuring every guest arrives to a clean, comfortable and welcoming room.
Responsibilities and Position Duties Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Clean and service assigned guest rooms according to hotel standards.
Make beds, change linens and replace towels.
Clean bathrooms, including sinks, showers, tubs, toilets, mirrors and floors.
Dust furniture and fixtures, vacuum carpets and clean floors.
Replenish guest amenities and room supplies.
Remove garbage and used linens from guest rooms.
Ensure rooms are properly arranged, clean and ready for occupancy.
Identify and report maintenance issues, damaged items and safety concerns.
Report and properly handle lost and found items according to hotel procedures.
Maintain housekeeping carts,
equipment and supplies in a clean and organized manner.
Follow procedures for the safe use, storage and handling of cleaning products and chemicals.
Follow hotel health, safety and security procedures.
Respect guest privacy and maintain confidentiality.
Respond professionally and courteously when interacting with guests.
Work collaboratively with Housekeeping and other hotel departments.
Complete other housekeeping duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements Previous hotel housekeeping, cleaning or related experience is an asset, but not required.
Training will be provided.
Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to understand and follow instructions, procedures and safety requirements.
Ability to manage assigned rooms and responsibilities within required timelines.
Must be physically able to perform the duties of the position, including standing and walking for extended periods, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting or moving items as required.
Open and flexible availability is required for all scheduled shifts, including weekdays, weekends and holidays.

Work Environment The work environment is a hotel setting and may include medium to high noise levels and high-traffic guest and work areas.
Employees may work around moving equipment such as vacuums, steam cleaners, washers and dryers and may be exposed to cleaning chemicals, high temperatures, sharps and biohazards.
The position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling throughout the shift and the ability to lift and move items associated with housekeeping duties.
