Freedom International School in Winnipeg is seeking passionate Teachers to support newcomers to Manitoba. This role focuses on trauma-informed practices and fostering a welcoming learning environment.
As part of our community, you will work with junior high and high school students facing cross-cultural challenges. The position involves creating engaging lesson plans and providing ongoing support for English language learners. Your collaboration with colleagues will enhance the educational experience for our students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop engaging lesson plans tailored to EAL students
• Create a secure and supportive educational environment
• Guide newcomer EAL students for academic success
• Collaborate with staff to promote student well-being
• Record student progress and maintain communication with parents
Requirements:
• Strong Christian belief and practice in education
• Bachelor’s degree in Education valid within Manitoba
• Experience working with diverse language learners
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
• Complete necessary training and background checks
