Lead community initiatives as a Recreation Coordinator at the Indigenous & Rural Relations department in Fort Chipewyan. This permanent full time role emphasizes engagement in sports, youth, and event administration.

As a Recreation Coordinator, you will enable the development of programs that meet the needs of local citizens and user groups. Your responsibilities include planning special events, providing technical guidance to organizations, and conducting community needs assessments. This position plays a vital role in fostering cultural awareness and community development.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver inclusive community programs
• Assist not-for-profit agencies in project development
• Optimize service levels through program evaluation
• Develop marketing strategies for events
• Generate revenue through sponsorship and donations

Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Five years of progressive experience in recreation
• Experience in volunteer management
• Proficiency in communication skills
• Willingness to work outside regular hours
