Empower Indigenous youth in Kamloops as an Employment Coach with YMCA BC at the Aboriginal Training and Employment Centre. This position focuses on fostering employment readiness within a culturally sensitive framework for neurodiverse individuals.
As a temporary full-time Employment Coach, you will provide essential individualized support to young adults facing barriers to employment. Your role will include developing strong community partnerships and facilitating workshops that enhance employability skills. This is an prospect to make a real difference in the lives of participants through dedicated mentorship and support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build connections with Indigenous communities and businesses
• Conduct needs assessments for program participants
• Coordinate job opportunities and community resources
• Facilitate training workshops tailored to diverse learners
• Track participant progress and outcomes meticulously
Requirements:
• Relevant post-secondary education or experience preferred
• Familiarity with youth resources and community programming
• Effective multitasking and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and job search platforms
• First Aid/CPR-C Certificate must be obtained
