Join the Edmonton Youth Attendance Centre as a Correctional Peace Officer and support youth in community integration. This on-call wage position is centered on mentorship and developing positive decision-making skills.
As a Correctional Peace Officer, you'll engage with youth in a community-focused setting, emphasizing accountability and skill-building. This position offers energetic work, with responsibilities that vary daily as you supervise youth fulfilling court orders. The role promotes positive behavior change while fostering healthy relationships and collaboration with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct youth involved in community rehabilitation programs
• Perform curfew compliance checks within the community
• Guide youth in community service activities
• Promote educational and recreational programs
• Work alongside probation officers and community partners
Requirements:
• High school diploma and minimum two years of experience
• Valid unrestricted Class 5 Canadian Driver’s License
• Recent Criminal Record Check with Fingerprinting
• Vulnerable Sector Check valid within the last six months
• Current First Aid and CPR Level-C Certification
Your role will help ensure community safety while guiding youth towards a constructive path of development.
