The candidate must prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered.
The candidate must mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel.
The candidate must set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base.
The candidate must align and straighten tiles.
The candidate must cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
The candidate must pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout.
The candidate must remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles as needed.
The candidate must lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative walls, murals, and floor designs.
The candidate must build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets.
The candidate must cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite.
The candidate must mix, lay, and polish terrasurfaces.
The candidate must install tile strips.
