Take on the role of Utility Operator at the District of Lake Country, BC, focusing on water system operations and maintenance. This is a 40-hour workweek role that requires technical expertise and collaboration.
Reporting to the Utilities Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of utility operations, handling water supply, distribution, and treatment facilities. The role demands excellent problem-solving abilities and effective communication to foster positive relationships within the team and community. Your work is critical to maintaining the region's water infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and construct water supply and distribution systems
• Repair and operate various water treatment facilities
• Manage pressure regulation and safety systems
• Work closely with different District departments
• Communicate effectively with the public about water services
Requirements:
• One year toward water engineering technology diploma
• Minimum one year of relevant experience
• Eligible for Water Operator EOCP certification
• Chlorine Handlers Certificate or ability to obtain
• British Columbia Driver's License
