Become an essential part of the Annapolis Valley Regional Centre's Pre-primary Program as an Early Childhood Educator at St. Mary's Elementary. Your role will focus on developing a supportive and engaging workplace for preschool children.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with the Lead Early Childhood Educator to implement the Nova Scotia Early Learning Curriculum. You will promote a play-centered approach that fosters children's growth and development through active exploration and social interaction. Your prior experience with diverse groups will assist in crafting inclusive learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work alongside LECE to deliver high-quality early learning
• Engage children in interactive and meaningful experiences
• Monitor and assess children's development effectively
• Collaborate with families and community to ensure inclusivity
• Embrace evidence-based practices in teaching strategies
Requirements:
• Diploma in Early Childhood Education is required
• Minimum of three years in preschool education
• Competency in child-centered, developmentally appropriate methods
• Valid certification in Standard First Aid
• Successful criminal background and child abuse checks
