Job Overview Reporting to the Production Manager as the Kitchen Cabinet Painting & Finishing Technician you are responsible for applying paints and stains to cabinets according to specifications.
You ensure work is efficiently completed in compliance with standard quality and safety protocols.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Applying paints and stains using various methods to surfaces including doors and cabinet parts.
Smoothing imperfections, touchup surfaces, and make minor repairs.
Ensuring quality of paint application is suitable for assembly.
Inspecting parts to ensure quality and uniformity can be attained.
Collaborating with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining quality standards.
Working in an organized and safe manner, adhering to Qualicos Safety Program and relevant safety regulations.
Reporting incidents or near-miss incidents immediately to management.

Essential Requirements High School Diploma, or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of experience in cabinet and millwork painting/staining.
Strong knowledge of colour theory.
Familiarity with various painting methods, including airless and air spraying.
Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
Physically able to kneel and crouch as well as lift, carry, push or pull objects weighing up to 30 lbs.
Attention to detail, positive hand-eye coordination and situational awareness of physical work environment.
