Become an essential member of the team at the Renfrew County District School Board as a Temporary Educational Support Personnel at Herman Street Public School. This role focuses on supporting students with specialized needs from September 1, 2026, to January 11, 2027.

This position requires a 100% commitment at 35 hours per week, with a two-year community college diploma in social services preferred. Your responsibilities will include essential support tasks for students, such as feeding, mobility assistance, and personal care. Any relevant training, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder Training or Behaviour Management Systems, will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with toileting, diapering, and feeding students
• Provide mobility assistance and support positioning needs




• Implement strategies for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Use adaptive/assistive technology in the classroom
• Follow safety protocols like WHMIS guidelines

Requirements:
• Minimum two-year diploma in social services or equivalent
• Proven capability in educational support tasks
• Willingness to complete all applicable training
• Accessible and inclusive practice adherence
• Vulnerable sector screening requirement
