You will work with Inuit women aged 16 and older, providing culturally informed support and advocacy services that address their unique challenges. The role emphasizes safety planning, individual and group counselling, and promoting social determinants of health. Your team-oriented approach will connect clients with both internal and external resources for healing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop comprehensive safety plans for women and dependents
• Facilitate workshops and Women's Healing Circles
• Manage caseloads and maintain accurate client files
• Conduct case conferences with stakeholders as needed
• Provide crisis support and urgent counselling services
Requirements:
• Relevant post-secondary education required
• Experience in group facilitation and community engagement
• Strong interpersonal and writing skills
• Understanding of challenges faced by Inuit families
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle an asset
