Join the City of Kamloops as a Community Services Officer II and contribute to community well-being through public education and safety initiatives. This permanent role provides a chance to engage deeply with local regulations.

We are seeking Community Services Officers II to enhance our Community Services department. The position requires a blend of regulatory enforcement, custodial oversight, and fostering community relationships. Candidates will need to show excellent judgment and professionalism while navigating various challenges and maintaining compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Educate the public on municipal bylaws and community engagement
• Inspect and enforce regulations in the community




• Nurture relationships with community partners
• Ensure custodial oversight meets quality standards
• Manage sensitive interactions in various environments

Requirements:
• Completion of senior secondary education or equivalent
• Two years post-secondary education in relevant fields
• At least three years of experience in enforcement roles
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence
• Occupational Level 1 First Aid Certificate
