GFL Environmental is hiring a Battery Sorter to enhance our liquids team. This full-time prospect focuses on sorting batteries and managing raw materials using a forklift.

As a Battery Sorter, you’ll report to the Operations Supervisor and take responsibility for sorting batteries on a production conveyor, transporting materials, and executing data entry tasks. A commitment to maintaining cleanliness and adhering to safety protocols is vital. You will also perform other related duties as assigned by management, contributing to a seamless operation.

Key Responsibilities:
• Efficiently sort mixed battery types on conveyors
• Transport recyclable materials using a forklift
• Enter data via Microsoft Excel and Greentrax
• Clean equipment and work areas regularly
• Attend to additional duties from management

Requirements:
• Secondary school completion required
• Experience in a production or warehouse setting
• Familiarity with forklifts or overhead cranes is a plus
• Understand OHSA and WHMIS regulations
• Must possess physical strength for material handling
