Become a vital part of Grandview Woodland Food Connection as a Garden Educator in Vancouver. Teach students about sustainable gardening and foster their connection to food and culture.

In this contract role, you'll provide hands-on food literacy education while maintaining and developing community gardens. Work collaboratively with local teachers and an Indigenous Gardener to enrich students’ experiences, focusing on culturally informed and ecological practices. This position supports community empowerment through food security.

Key Responsibilities:
• Work with educators to create land-based learning materials
• Lead hands-on garden sessions for students of varying ages
• Engage in the maintenance of school and community gardens




• Collaborate with staff and volunteers for program success
• Adapt lessons for diverse learning needs and styles

Requirements:
• Experience teaching students in grades K-12
• Some knowledge of horticulture and gardening
• Familiarity with Indigenous practices and cultural knowledge
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Must complete a criminal record check
