As a member of Cougars Athletics and Recreation, you will bring skills, passion, and expertise to help participants grow in their climbing abilities. A key aspect of your responsibilities is ensuring the safety of all climbers while creating an inclusive experience. Your expertise in climbing techniques and your ability to connect with a variety of learners will make a significant impact on the climbing center community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct participants in top rope, lead climbing, and belaying techniques
• Manage participant intake and highlight facility policies
• Oversee safe usage of rented climbing equipment
• Provide corrective techniques and coaching
• Ensure programming is inclusive for all abilities
Requirements:
• Standard First Aid & CPR-C certification
• Robust understanding of climbing terminology and skills
• ACMG Level 1 or Top Rope Instructor certification
• Risk management experience in climbing settings
• Commitment to inclusivity and accessibility
