Exciting opportunity for a dedicated Therapist focusing on Youth Mental Health and Substance Use at Durham Community Health Centre. This part-time role emphasizes evidence-based support for youth aged 12 to 25 in a cooperative environment.
As a key member of the inter-professional Youth Wellness Hub team, your role will involve delivering psychotherapy and mental health interventions tailored to the unique needs of young clients. Utilize your skills in trauma-informed care and cultural responsiveness to foster a supportive atmosphere while engaging in program evaluation and development efforts. Ensure the provision of integrated and coordinated support across multiple agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct clinical assessments and develop tailored treatment plans
• Provide counselling and support addressing mental health issues
• Engage in collaborative care with multidisciplinary teams
• Implement youth-focused interventions utilizing established methods
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and program development
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field
• At least two years of relevant therapeutic experience
• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment approaches
• Excellent case management and communication skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends
