Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Work setting Plastics manufacturing Tasks Review job orders to determine production time, colour sequence and quantities required Fill ink fountains and control colour and viscosity Set up press and operate at slow speed to check samples Monitor regular press run for quality using computer control console Remove and clean plates and cylinders at end of press run Direct press crew to set up, operate and shut down press Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems Troubleshoot electrical or mechanical systems failures Adjusting machinery and equipment to proper settings Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records Type of materials Plastic Paper Type of painting and drawing medium Ink Control systems Pneumatic devices Type of press Flexographic press Rotogravure press Regulations knowledge Knowledge of preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment Work conditions and physical capabilities Manual dexterity Standing for extended periods Bending, crouching, kneeling Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English Hours: 40 hours per week
