Join Ongwanada as a full-time Treatment Counsellor in Kingston, providing essential care for individuals with developmental disabilities. This role emphasizes collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
As a Temporary Full time Treatment Counsellor, you will engage in a variety of responsibilities designed to support individuals in a specialized treatment setting. This includes assisting with personal care, implementing behaviour support plans, and closely monitoring changes in health and behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide trauma-informed direct care and support
• Assist individuals with activities of daily living
• Record data on health status and behavioural responses
• Accurately prepare and administer medications
• Attend support plan meetings and contribute insights
Requirements:
• Degree in DSW, B.S.T, or comparable program
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training
• CPR/First Aid certification and pharmacology course completion
• Valid G Driving License for transport duties
• Experience with individuals facing dual diagnoses
