At Kitsilano Neighbourhood House, Group Leaders are essential in delivering quality childcare, focusing on developmentally appropriate practices. This position involves organizing activities, planning field trips, and fostering collaboration with families and community partners. Ideal candidates will have experience in inclusive childcare settings and excel in communication.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement engaging activities for children
• Maintain a safe and stimulating setting for all participants
• Plan and facilitate age-appropriate field trips
• Observe and assess children's development regularly
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of all materials and equipment
Requirements:
• Responsible Adult Certification or similar credentials needed
• Minimum age of 19 years as required by licensing
• First Aid Certification or ability to acquire promptly
• Preference for experience with school-aged children
• Updated Criminal Record Check and immunizations required
