Contribute to the community as a full time Youth Support Worker with PLEA Community Services in Surrey, BC. Focused on high-risk youth, this role is essential for establishing stability and fostering positive growth.
The selected candidate will require a Bachelor of Arts degree in social sciences or human services and a minimum of one year of relevant experience. You will assist youth in achieving individual goals through closely monitored support and community integration strategies. Strong interpersonal skills and knowledge of youth-related legislation are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support goals per youth service plans
• Facilitate life skills and emotional support
• Maintain effective relationships with caregivers
• Manage documentation for quality assurance
• Actively engage in crisis management when necessary
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a social service-related field
• At least one year experience with at-risk youth
• Competence in behavior management and documentation
• Possession of Class 5 Driver's License and vehicle access
• Thorough criminal record check mandatory
Provide critical support and care to empower youth through challenges at PLEA Community Services.
