PACT (Pearson Accelerator Construction Team) is a General Partnership of Alberici, Amico, Kenaidan, and Obayashi, supported by design partners Egis, Mott MacDonald, and Weston Williamson + Partners. Together, we are delivering Accelerator, a major program of Pearson LIFT (Long-term Investment in Facilities and Terminals), Toronto Pearson's infrastructure development plan. This multi-year program is designed to address immediate passenger growth demands while preparing Canada's largest airport for the future of air travel—including critical upgrades to airfield and infrastructure, greenhouse gas reduction initiatives, modernization of Terminals 1 and 3, and the creation of a world-class passenger experience.
JOB SUMMARY
The Stakeholder Communications Coordinator is responsible for supporting internal and external stakeholders, and partner engagement activities for one of Canada's most high-profile aviation infrastructure programs. Reporting to Communications leadership and working closely with the GTAA, this role helps ensure transparent, timely, and accurate communication and process adherence with airport stakeholders. The Communications & Stakeholder Coordinator plays an important role in helping minimize disruption, supporting reputational management, and contributing to the overall public-facing success of the PACT program.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support day-to-day project coordination and governance activities across the PACT program, working with project leadership and delivery partners to maintain alignment on priorities, actions, deliverables, and stakeholder requirements.
- Coordinate project and stakeholder meetings, including agendas, meeting materials, minutes, action logs, decision tracking, and follow-up to ensure commitments are appropriately assigned and progressed.
- Maintain project trackers, dashboards, action registers, decision logs, stakeholder registers, and other governance tools as required.
- Support the preparation of regular project status updates, management reports, briefing materials, dashboards, and presentations for internal leadership, project partners, and the GTAA.
- Monitor key deliverables, milestones, dependencies, and outstanding actions and escalate issues or emerging risks to the appropriate project leads.
- Coordinate information and inputs across design, construction, operations, communications, and other project functions to support timely decision-making and alignment.
- Support governance processes, document control, reporting requirements, and adherence to PACT and GTAA protocols.
- Assist with identifying and tracking project interfaces, stakeholder impacts, constraints, and issues that may affect delivery, operations, or stakeholder relationships.
- Support the development and maintenance of project schedules, workplans, action plans, and engagement plans related to stakeholder-facing activities.
- Support the development and execution of internal and external communications in alignment with GTAA protocols, approved messaging, and PACT governance requirements.
- Coordinate with the GTAA communications team and project partners to ensure information is accurate, timely, consistent, and appropriately approved.
- Prepare and coordinate communications materials, including project updates, bulletins, briefings, construction information, signage, digital content, mitigation materials, and public safety messaging.
- Support planning and logistics for stakeholder events, open houses, public information sessions, and other engagement activities.
- Monitor and coordinate stakeholder inquiries and complaints, working with relevant GTAA and PACT teams to facilitate timely and appropriate responses.
- Draft and organize content for internal and external communications, including reports, editorial content, web updates, and other project communications.
- Support communications related to construction impacts, project milestones, operational changes, and program progress.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The position will be based at our office in Mississauga, Ontario, with visits to the Airport site as required. Your work schedule will be Monday to Friday during regular office or site hours. At times, operational needs may require work outside these hours, with reasonable notice provided. All schedule or on‑call adjustments will comply with applicable employment standards legislation. It is mandatory for all employees to complete a Criminal Background check and successfully attain a Restricted Access Identity Card (RAIC)
upon joining the company.
DESIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES
- Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Stakeholder Relations, Project Management, Communications, or related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in project administration/governance, stakeholder management, or community engagement—ideally on infrastructure, aviation, or construction projects.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple workstreams, stakeholders, deliverables, meetings, actions, and deadlines within a complex project environment.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and follow through on multiple deliverables.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information and project information into clear, concise materials for different audiences. Understanding of construction-related impacts (noise, access, traffic) and how communications can support mitigation efforts, as well as promotion of the Accelerator progress.
- Ability to identify emerging issues, dependencies, and stakeholder concerns and escalate them appropriately.
- Experience working across multidisciplinary teams and coordinating inputs from multiple project partners.
- Experience supporting or coordinating engagement activities, such as open houses, community meetings, or stakeholder sessions.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-partner, high-security, and fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with GTAA or other airport operational environments is an asset.
- Skilled at using project management tools, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, or similar project collaboration and reporting platforms.
- Organized, proactive, detail oriented, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Formal project management training or certification (e.g., CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is an asset.
- Valid driver's license and eligibility for RAIC clearance required.
