The OpportunityFoundation Health Centre is looking for a skilled and compassionate
Mental Health Therapist
to join our growing multidisciplinary rehabilitation team in Fredericton. This opportunity is open to both
Master of Social Work (MSW)
and
Licensed Counselling Therapist (LCT)
applicants with an interest in providing evidence-based psychotherapy to adults.
You will work with clients experiencing a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related conditions, adjustment difficulties, chronic pain, disability, occupational stress, and barriers to recovery or return to work.
You'll work within an established interdisciplinary team and have the opportunity to focus primarily on what you were trained to do —
providing excellent clinical care
— while our administrative team supports scheduling, coordination and billing.

Our clinicians work collaboratively with individuals experiencing physical and psychological health conditions, including Military Veterans, first responders and clients participating in rehabilitation and return-to-work programs.

Compensation & What We Offer$80,000–$95,000 annually,
based on clinical experience and qualifications, along with:

Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive
mental health and psychosocial assessments
using evidence-informed approaches
Develop and implement
individualized treatment plans
aligned with client goals
Provide individual
psychotherapy
using evidence-informed approaches appropriate to client needs (e.G., CBT, ACT, DBT, CPT, solution-focused and trauma-informed approaches)
Collaborate with an
interdisciplinary team
to support integrated client care
Develop
clinical case formulations
and establish clear, measurable treatment goals in collaboration with clients
Participate in
case conferences and program planning
as required
Provide
education and guidance
to clients, families, and stakeholders
Maintain
clear, timely clinical documentation and reports
Manage a
consistent weekly caseload in line with clinic expectations

What We’re Looking For
Candidates must meet one of the following professional requirements:
Master of Social Work (MSW) and registered or eligible for registration with the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers (NBASW);
or
Licensed Counselling Therapist (LCT) registered and in good standing with the College of Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick (CCTNB).
We’re looking for someone who brings:
Clinical counselling or psychotherapy experience with adult populations
Experience supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic pain, disability, adjustment difficulties, or related mental health concerns
Strong clinical reasoning, treatment-planning and documentation skills
Ability to manage an outpatient clinical caseload
Robust interpersonal and interdisciplinary communication skills
Two or more years of clinical counselling/psychotherapy experience is preferred;
however, strong recent graduates with relevant clinical placements and demonstrated readiness for clinical practice are encouraged to apply .
Experience working with Veterans, first responders, rehabilitation, disability management, return-to-work programming, or complex/multi-factor cases is considered an asset.
