Opening soon in the heart of Norwood, Fieldstone Cafe & Bakery is a brand-new neighborhood destination set inside one of the town’s oldest, most beautiful heritage stone buildings. We are building a vibrant, welcoming space that combines cozy sit-down dining and busy takeout with a scratch-made bakery counter and a premium ice cream bar. As a founding member of our team, you will help us bring this beautiful historic space to life and establish a warm, community-focused gathering place. We are seeking friendly and energetic Servers to join our team in this dynamic setting.

As a Server, you will be the face of our establishment. You will guide guests through our diverse offerings, scoop premium ice cream, package fresh baked goods, and provide excellent table service. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves making customers smile. We have both part-time and full-time positions available with an hourly rate starting at $17.60/hour plus tips.

Core Responsibilities

- Customer Service: Welcome guests, take dine-in and takeout orders, and guide customers through our menu, bakery, and ice cream choices.
- Counter Service: Package bakery items and skillfully scoop and prepare ice cream treats (cones, sundaes, banana splits, milk shakes, floats).
- Table Service: Deliver food and drinks to dine-in tables promptly, checking back to ensure an excellent dining experience.
- POS Operation: Operate a Clover cash register, accurately process cash and card payments, and manage a balanced till.
- Cafe Upkeep:



Clear and sanitize tables, wipe down counters, restock bakery displays, maintain clean workstations, and assist with dishwashing as needed.
- Teamwork: Communicate effectively with the kitchen and bakery teams to ensure orders are accurate and filled quickly.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Experience: Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
- Certification: A Food Handlers Certification is preferred. It is not required right away, but you must be willing to obtain it upon hire.
- Speed & Stamina: Ability to stand for long shifts, carry heavy items, multitask between different stations, and work efficiently under pressure.
- Customer-First Attitude: A warm, approachable personality with strong verbal communication skills.
- Basic Math & Tech: Comfort using a point-of-sale (POS) system and handling cash accurately.
- Availability: Flexibility to work a shifting schedule, including weekends and holidays.
