Role Summary
We're recruiting for a Systems Engineer to join an aerospace engineering team based in Dorval, working within the pneumatics discipline. This is a hands‑on systems engineering role covering architecture definition, requirements management, supplier oversight and certification compliance across pneumatic systems on aircraft programmes. You'll work cross‑functionally with engineering, suppliers and production/in‑service teams, and get exposure to both the technical and project management sides of the discipline.Responsibilities
Act as systems engineer for pneumatics discipline activities, owning integration and interface management across assigned systemsCoordinate with internal engineering groups and external suppliersDefine pneumatic system architecture, prepare specifications and requirements, and conduct functional modelling and trade studiesManage requirements validation and verificationOversee suppliers from both a project and technical engineering perspectiveReview and approve engineering design documents including vendor drawings, test procedures, acceptance test procedures, qualification reports and certification documentsDocument technical analysis and ground/flight test resultsPrepare technical reports demonstrating compliance with applicable certification requirementsSupport the build and operation of test platforms,



including rigs and flight test vehiclesWork within multi‑disciplinary teams to resolve product engineering issuesPrepare design change modifications and optimised solutionsSupport production and in‑service teams with troubleshootingEnsure adherence to programme schedule and milestonesContribute to the wider engineering knowledge base and systemsPerson Specification
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace EngineeringSubstantial relevant technical experience within an aerospace engineering environmentStrong knowledge of fluid flow and thermodynamic conceptsStrong analytical and problem‑solving ability, with the capacity to get to grips with complex technical issues quicklyWorking knowledge of pneumatics and interfacing disciplines such as system installation, avionics and power plantFamiliarity with component qualification standards (DO-160, MIL-STD-810)Familiarity with Design Process Assurance (ARP4754A)Comfortable operating across both technical engineering and project management aspects of the roleStrong written and verbal communication skills, with a cooperative, team‑first approachWillingness to travel for short‑term assignmentsExperience with functional modelling and system performance testingExposure to Model Based Engineering or simulation softwareBilingual in French and EnglishDiversity & Inclusion
